The Art Department brightened up the foyer with creativity and colour, as Art Week was celebrated and promoted in our school community. Three very different artists were focused on this week to show the diversity of the Visual Arts. Norwegian painter Edvard Munch’s painting “The Scream” filled our school foyer, with a large reproduction of this iconic image reproduced by students from the Art Week Committee. Irish Stained Glass Artist Harry Clarke was the inspiration for our lunch time art workshops, where students got the opportunity to experience this craft. Finally, the imagination of animator and filmmaker Tim Burton is enjoyed with a lunchtime viewing of his film “Corpse Bride”.
