Eco Christmas Tree
A special thanks to our Second Year Resource Students for their hard work in creating this year’s Eco Tree. The tree which can be replanted is festively decorated with decorations made from recyclable material. The school foyer has also been magically transformed with lots of decorations designed by the art classes. A special thanks to all students and staff for their hard work in bringing about this merry transformation.
TY Litter Police
The Litter Police made up of a group Transition Year Students have been patrolling the school halls in search of litter offenders. Their purpose is to promote the proper use of bins as part of the Green Schools Campaign.
The Green Schools Committee
The Green Schools Committee has been working very hard to maintain the current recycling standards in school. A number of new initiatives have been set up including a ‘Trash Campaign’ undertaken by thisyear’s Transition Year students. Those involved have been busy designing new bins to be placed around the school with the aim of encouraging all students to place their litter in the correct bin.Best wishes to those involved and to the entire Committee who will be applying for a Green Flag in the near future.
Shredding Campaign
All students involved in the Green School Committee are busy working on a number of recycling initiatives including a ’Shredding Campaign’in which all waste paper in the school is shredded for use elsewhere.
We ask parents and guardians to submit any old newspapers to school for this project.
