The Junk Kouture Transition Year students had a busy morning starting the day at Spotlight Studios in Wicklow for a costume making workshop. Students designed their own vision boards and created characters before finishing the workshop with a human mannequin timed costume creation activity. It was so enjoyable and so much fun. Thanks to Kerry for slotting us in and to the very talented facilitators Jarra and Lynn for hosting the inspiring session! It was a great way for us to wrap up this module.
The Junk Kouture students also called into the Wicklow SPCA Sharpsehill today to deliver some pet toys they made with left over material from the module and some donated tennis balls from the P.E. department! Linda gave us a tour and introduced us to the adorable dogs looking for a loving home. We were particularly taken with Rocky who soaked up all the attention! All the team at Sharpeshill do an amazing job in caring for the vulnerable animals in their care. If anyone is thinking of welcoming a pet into their home, we urge you to consider adopting and offering these animals the love they deserve.
